As one of the most important projects in the construction of "ten cultural facilities for the new era" in Shenzhen, Shenzhen opera house is committed to becoming an urban public space with important display functions such as the world-class highest standard art palace, the new landmark of Shenzhen art and culture, and the high-quality coastal culture and art living room of Shenzhen citizens.
JH puts forward a visual and spiritual feeling: a memorable image, an unforgettable cultural space experience, which has a deeper and stronger significance for Shenzhen, a city of high-tech innovation, architecture and nature; That is, "music flows into the future cultural ocean of the city like water".
The building is closely connected with the natural environment (water and green belt). Through the site location along the Shenzhen Bay Park, the opera embraces its musical cultural characteristics with the design inspiration of music waves, and achieves its milestone goal. The waves on the three floors of the main hall rise on the Bay skyline, just like the high notes in the symphony. The space is designed and shaped to stimulate life through its emotional life space dynamics (internal and external space).
The space form of Shenzhen opera house designed by JH invites visitors to "an additional cultural place", and encourages interactive social and cultural exchanges by providing creative outdoor space and indoor multi-functional (cultural) atrium of different nature.
